Download the Service manual here first http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X8T6731C
Then go to page 9-493. It will give you a step by step on how to trouble shoot. and welcome to the forum.

what are the symptoms? P0508 is usually caused by a vacuum leak resulting in a high idle so it throws the code saying the IAC is the problem because it can't control the idle. Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

I hope you mean 1000 RPM's and not 10000 RPM's...lol...so you start it and it dies right away....unless you disconnect the PCV...then it will start but idles at 1000 RPM, and when you reconnect the PCV, it dies. Just trying to get the correct problem....
