I have a Cobra 29 LTD installed on the door of the useless glove box. Lots of chatter in the Chicago area on the highway. I really only use it when I am traveling because the truck drivers will always tell you where the accidents and police traps are.

I run channel 19 all the time...especially when I am pulling my camper, for 1 its the best radar detector in the world, you know every mile marker when there is a cop radaring...and 2, when I start feeling drag on the interstate..I can ask the truckers if I have someone snugged up in my camper draft that I can't see trying to save gas..if they say yes..I slow down to about 45 in a 65 until that person gets tired of doing 45 in a 65 and passes me.

I haul logs everyday up here in northern Michigan. CB is on from morning till night. Channel 19 on the big road. Our log crew uses channel 27 to communicate when i'm back in the woods. Helps out everday when i
need a skidder to get me out when in mud and snow. So fellas :
Keep the temper up and the hammer down ,Were gone BYE BYE.

I can still open the glove box about 3". Not like it matters I do not keep anything in there. Can not even fit a pair of gloves.

Up in Toronto here, when the G20 summit was setting up there was some rumour about the Goverment was going to install a freq jammer and it would ruin all the tow operators jobs (cause they dpend on scanners) and other radios would be messed up becsuse of this.
Not sure if this happen but I was a driver and had CB in my truck prior to April but got moved inside and recently have filled in for a driver and noticed up here the chatter was not what it was.

Not sure what has happen out there?

The new wave of the future will be "CB" in your cell phone. Youll be able to download an app and use a push-to-talk feature to talk within a certain radius of your GPS cordinated location.
