Default Clock not available

Ok, really strange thing going on with my 08. Drive around, radio good to go, tunes, time all that jazz. Shut down, run into store, start up take off, tunes no issue, the clock would not show up. Hit the time button, message says "clock not available" Any ideas?
Thanks

someone stole your clock while you were in the store? jk...i get all kinds of weird crap happening every now and then when I start mine (random CEL, airbag light, brake light, radio not working, etc). I just shut it off and restart it, usually clears it up.

This is a problem with the 2008 and later models. It has happened 2 times to me. I just did the procedure below:

Dodge 2008 Dakota/Durango
Problem for: Clock not available on Radio

2008 Durango - clock was always displayed until a couple of days ago. When you push the time button it reads "clock not available"

This was the dealer's explanation: This is a known, but rare, glitch in the radio. It is not widespread enough for Dodge to issue a bulletin, but there is a write-up in the computer system that Dodge technicians access that covers this. The "repair" is to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and/or remove the IOD (Ignition Off Draw fuse(s)). The radio then "resets" itself. If the problem persists, they have to replace a component of the radio system.

To all the clock nabber replies, HA HA HA, LOL
Thanks for the tip on the battery disconnect, did the trick.
It is crazy that Dodge admits the issue is present but will not do anything about it. Oh well
Thanks again

Keithhud, Make sure your RER firmware is current. Grab it here:

http://mofv.com/mygig/RER.htm

Some of the early releases had all kinds of issues that required you to pull the fuse!

This site is great for all MyGIG info, etc.
