I was looking at the prices and the dakota was actuakly more expensive than the ram on the dodge website.

Comparing my 05 Dak 4.7HO to my 09 Ram hemi.

No question about it; the Ram is a far superior truck in many respects.

But I still enjoy driving the Dak more than the Ram.

I wish that Dodge would have enhanced the Dak's with many of the improvements made to the 4th Gen Rams. Sad to see them discontinued.

No doubt, they put the Hemi in everything but the Dakota. Jeeps, Chargers, Challys, Rams but not the Dakota. I kept hoping an SRT8 Dakota would come alone or even a true performance R/T.

The problem with a Dakota is that its too good as a mid size truck, but not apealing to the four banger nissan or toyota crowd or to the big boys who need a full size truck.

I enjoy running a 4.7 dakota with a man transmisson every time I can get my hands on one, I saw a Issuzi ( spelt it wrong ) version of a Dakota quad cab ,Raider, if you think the Fiat version is bad, its better looking than a Dakota Issuzi version, remeber the S10 version of the Issuzi?.

Back in the old days, it was the suspension, and engine combos in the same body style truck that gave you a 1/4 ton 1/2 ton ect.

Really if you compare the Dakota to all the mid-size trucks, And I know we all know this but the Dakota is the best overall.

Ranger is too small inside, S10 better but still small, then you have the Toyota, Nissan crowd which I have no interest in.

Still surprised by the move to kill this truck.
