Default Fuel Filter on '07 Dakota

Where would the fuel filter be on an '07 Dakota with 4.7 V8 and how often should it be changed?

Does anyone know where I could get repair manual for on '07? I can only find one up to an '06 but no '07 dakotas.

Thanks

The filter is in the fuel tank, part of the pickup tube on the actual fuel pump...the only reason to change it is if you are changing the fuel pump or if you got a load of junk with your gas.

I do not think there are many changes (if any) for the 2007 vs 2005/2006 regarding the repair manual. You would see the differences in the parts manual.

Does anyone have room to host the parts manuals? I have all Mopar Dakota parts manuals 2005 - 2008.

You nailed it. I use the Dodge Tech Pub and the Haynes Manual.

Default Thanks to both of you

Thanks, you made my day for not telling me that I have to drop the tank periodically. As for the repair manual, that pic is the one I've been finding around here but I was hesitant to buy it because it was '05 and '06, not '07. Most people I've spoken with, and you have backed it up, have said the 05's to 07's were pretty much identical.

Thanks for your help

Hammond, I also have a domain I can host them on. However, I can only have 5gb of traffic a month so Im not sure if that will hold.

If you really want you can install an aftermarket fuel filter and clean it every so often. I'm at 103,000 miles on my stock pump/filter with large injectors and so far so good.
