I have extras of the speed nut inserts (my part came with them!)

Thanks man! I'm right up the road from you (long road! top of the NJ Pike)

Been crazy today chauffeuring kids all over the place, as soon as I get a few minutes, gonna take a few pics. I haven't taken off the pass side A pillar trim yet to get at the wires, but will do it tomorrow.

The saga continues.... The part that I received (the overhead console mount bracket), is indeed the only part number listed for our trucks, from 2005-2008. There are no pics in the chrysler parts system for this part, just a reference. So the only part they can all see is the wrong part for the overhead console, but is correct for the plain dome light.

Have talked to several more dealers. They are clueless about how to identify the part, even though several have tried. So I'm somewhat stumped at the moment.

Amusingly, I can modify the part to make it work, but it would take quite a bit of time. Called about 30 junkyards in NJ, no dakotas that new anywhere to be found.

Hmm, Overhead console bracket part numbers:

2005 - 55361301AA
2006 - 55361300AA and 55361301AA
2007 - 55351298AA
2008 - 55361301AA 55351298AA

What is the part number on your console?

P.S. I am originally from Jersey..grew up in Monmouth County, lived up in northern, western, eastern and central NJ before I ran out of tax dollars and left

Thanks!!! Totally appreciate it....

Those part numbers are correct, for both with and without sunroof. I took some pics, but still need to compress them.

I'm up toward the northwestern tip of Bergen county, love it up here, ain't cheap, but still really nice. I'm not political at all, but at least our current governor is trying to stop the huge growth in taxes. When I grew up here (70s) we didn't even have ANY state income tax!

OK, I just bought the part (and another console) from a wrecking yard in Georgia. The guy actually sold me both the console and the bracket for 50 bucks, which is what the replacement bracket cost even if I could find one!

Came from the same car too. I had him read the molded in part number to me, and it was different than the part number on the one I got from the mopar dealer that is the same on that is in the car.

I'm gonna take a pic of the one that I get.

Yep, same. Nice guy. Actually went out to the car, pulled the bracket and read me the part number. Now I have 2 overhead consoles!

Lol, yeah. I asked him a question on Saturday asking if he would include the bracket and wiring harness to the A-pillar for a small fee. Theres a 2007 console on there now, but I assume thats where we get in to trouble. We can only use consoles from our year?

Hey, sorry I bought it out from under you! Wait till I get mine, and then we can figure out what the proper bracket is. If what he sent me is correct, then I can sell you my spare console and we will have the correct part number for the bracket
