05 Overhead Console Wiring, CAN Bus B connection, etc

I also took the opportunity to replace the cheesebag mirror with an autodim unit I bought off fleabay for 10 bucks. Fits perfectly.
Now the only thing left is to get the front end from stopping its random vibrations and install the headrest DVD players so my kids can chill in the back of the truck on our weekly trek to Vermont in the winter!

I am trying to install an overhead unit on my 05 SLT...I am still waiting for the parts to come in, but I was wondering why I can't see the pics of yours? Do I have to do something special to see them or am I not looking in the right area...I just signed up recently for this forum

ok...i have a problem with wiring...i have a white/orange, white, black, and a red/light blue all not being used...i assume these are the wires needed for the overhead console because the other three yellow/orange, black, yellow/tan are wired to the dome lights...im thinking i am not wiring them right at all...can anyone help me with this please!! i am going crazy...also, i think the vehicle i got the computer from might not be the vehicle that it originally came in because the wires are different coming from the plug in the computer...they are purple/red, black/orange, red/yellow, purple...supposedly they are from an 05....were different plugs and wires used? the dome lights plugged directly into the same plug on the overhead console housing as i had on the regular dome light...sry for the book!

well, i just found out that the computer i have is from an 05 durango, and the wire harness on it is from a ram...the yard guy said he sold it like this because it shouldnt matter where they came from because they are all wired the same...but the computer has a 6 wire plug supposed to go into it, and the ram harness only has four wires going to the plug...i imagine i could make the harness work if i get an actual dakota computer like i was trying to do...and to top it all off my keyless entry isnt working anymore!! UGH!!! guess im not cut out for DIY projects...those that include wiring anyways
