Even if you don't buy components from there, just select your components and it will tell you everything you need for your model year.

i got alpine type r speakers in my truck. I did the 6.5 component set with the tweeter mounted on the little triangle area that sticks up infront of the window on the door. and 6.5 two ways in the back and they are all powered by an alpine 400watt 4 way amp. Me personaly i like to power the back speakers.I like hearing my music lound and from all around me.Yes i do power the front more than the back but i wouldnt not power the rear speakers if i was powering the front. I am about to be switching mine out for a pair of focals. Go with focals if you want clear great sounding music.

i just went by the stereo shop to see what it would cost for me to get a headunit with a usb connector and 4 door speakers, he wanted 345$

i know how to install door speakers and a head unit, just some of the wiring confuses me for the back of the headunit. i know there are some easy connect ones that will just straight plug from your headunit into the factory harness.

he also said there is no need for an external amp for the door speakers, that the built in amp should be enough.

am i trippin or is this guy high

GJ,

Coupla things. If you have the infinity system, the amps are perfectly fine (yep, he's right). I had it in my 01, and just replaced the head unit, as well as the speakers and the thing sounded awesome and amazing.

Also, there are no "easy connect" systems. However, you can certainly get a Metra harness and connect it to the new Head unit harness and it should go right in (is color coded, so it pretty much just works!)

Let us know if you need some help. I've done zillions of car audio installs (its just never loud enough ) and can usually figure out just about anything

I did the same, but did use the Focal separates. Agree too, gotta power all the speakers... in reality, you have to power all of them if they're going to make any noise.

man i wanna install the head unit and speakers myself but i just dont wanan get this thing apart and have all the wires hanging not knowing what to do with them. im gonna buy the parts this weekend and attempt, but if it gets too difficult i may just put the stock head unit back in.

also is it better to have an external amp to power the 4 door speakers?
