2 inch daystar kit cv axles binding.
i just installed the 2 inch daystar kit and when i had my truck on axle stands at full droop the cv axles were binding up. has anyone else had this problem. also my passenger side tie rod end was pooched after only 35 000 km. i have an 08 dakota crew v8. i will post pics for the site on wednesday when i mount my km2's
true...thats why a while back I put my front end leveling kit up for sale and ordered the rear drop shackels...even though my brother says lowerin a 4X4 in anyway is crazy...but i like the way its gonna look with my set up i have!
how exactly is it binding? i modified my kit to gain a little more lift, when i checked it at full travel, i had no binding, nor have i had any problems, and it see's full travel all the time, with a lot of off road...
at full suspension droop of both axles the cv binds up on the passenger side. im sure then when there is weight on the truck the sway bar will always pull the axle that is lowest back up a little so i dont think that will be a problem. when i mount up my km2's tomorow i will drive up a set of steps or something and flex the truck to see what the deal is under a simulated wheeling condition.
dodgetrucker what blocks did you use for the rear of your truck. i have some 2 inch blocks from my buddies sierra but im sure the pin is going to be to big. has anyone tried blocks from a foctory blocked late model dodge ram. our big slow brother.

mine is stock in the rear, mine is a trx, and it has been said that they sit abolut 1in higher in the rear than the rest, but IDK if thats true or not
i had that same bind when my truck is up on the lift but i can still spin the wheels with my hands. But i can tell the axles and strugling. I bought a set of fab tech rear blocks. just a universal set. i thought the pins size was standard. I'v had my lift on for anout 35K miles and the only thing i had to do was replace my tie rod ends about 5k in. the stock ones just didn't hold up to the lift
