Default Brake Job

I have never done the brake pads on a 3rd gen dakota, would the set up be the same as the 1st gens, meaning having the guide pins, stuff of that nature

Brakes have honestly not changed that much at all from the past years...yes technology has gotten better...it is pretty much the same. If you've done them on a 1st gen you can do them on a 3rd Gen!!!

their just plain old floating rotors so you just take the bolts off the back of the caliper and do what u got to do.

ok, just makin sure, its not my truck its my uncles, i have have done the brakes on my 1st gen plenty of times, it was just precationary, thanks

Actually, they are floating calipers... not sure I'd want to be in a car with floating rotors
