Default exhaust question

Im running an 06 4.7 with stock exhaust, my question is since I put on my CAI its seems as if I am choking my engine. My exhaust has the standard cat on each down tube, then a resanator then muffler then another resanator. Is it possible that the engine is pulling more air in than it can get rid of through the restrictions of the exhaust. I plan on upgrading the exhaust when the money comes available but til then should i remove the CAI. Any and all thoughts welcome

yes you can be choking the engine it needs to be able to expel as much air as it brings in

You're not choking your engine. The engine can only suck in as much air as it can get out. Other words, it only takes in as much as it needs. Once you upgrade your exhaust and allow more air to flow through your motor, your engine will just suck in more air. Did I explain that good enough? (I suck at explaining stuff)

Question: Did you disconnect your battery since you installed your CAI? (leave it disconnected for an hour or overnight)
Might be a good idea to have your engine "relearn" since putting in your CAI.
Not saying this will fix your issue, but might help!
