yeah...so the front diff is movng even when not in 4X4? wouldn't that make the front wheel move? just crurios

The front wheels move when you roll. So that spins the CV shafts witch then spins the gears in the diff witch spins the drive shaft. The drivshaft is disengaged from the transfercase.

I dont believe it was Dusty. I am pretty sure he was using 4wd, offroading. It cracked the entire housing though.
