Exclamation Need help asap!!!!

Hey guys i was driving down a road on my lunch break and i hit a bump and somthin felt weird after that. When i pulled into the wawa Smoke was pouring out from under my truck. I looked under to find a Cracked differetial. My front diff split from the mount forward. My queston is Does the front drive shaft spin when in 2wd? If it doesnt somehow my 4wd engaged and im gana bet it hapend when i hit that bump. Thanks in advance

unless you have unlockable hubs like older trucks had in the 70's and such, the entire drive train spins, and the front is just not connected in the transfer case unless you put it in 4x4. so no it didn't knock it into 4x4, it's just always moving

That sucks, I wonder if it's your huge tires causing the front end problems?

just fyi, when I sliced my tire on a piece of cattle guard protruding in the road, the county paid for a new tire for me. if a road defect caused the problems you can usually get the city/county to pay for the damages. just most people don't think they can do that so noone ever tries.

Was Dusty the first one? He was launching his Dak in 4wd with a Hemi at the strip. Its wierd that this time it just happened out of no where while not even being in 4wd.
