I'm gonna install a double DIN unit in the next week or so. I already hacked the crap out of my spare bezel to get rid of the idiotic ears, but now, its time for yet another massive hack

Also what is the purpose of the lock pick?

Thanks Mark
The lock pick adapter will make this a plug and play install, highly recommend it. Otherwise you will have to make up your own harness to go between the stock harness and the MyGig (which may or may not require additional electronics in the middle, I'm not sure if the lockpick performs that function as well or if that's not needed). The lockpick also unlocks all functions of the MyGig such as watching a DVD while in motion or (if you have the nav unit) entering nav directions while driving. If you get the additional harnesses you can also install another screen and a reverse camera along with audio in and some other goodies.

I've had a good experience dealing with them, I actually found their site and ordered the adapter kit before they had it finalized and were selling it. They sent me all the extra multimedia harnesses for free as a thank you for preordering.

Hey Altair, can you hide the lockpick behind the Nav unit in the dash?
Either way I think I will order it, I appreciate all the help fellas!

Thanks Mark

Well it looks like I need to find another radio, the radio that was in the Jeep is a REC Nav deck.

Will not fit in a Dakota.

So it will go up for sale, works perfect came out of my Jeeep wreck that has 40,000 km on it.

Anyone wanna trade for a My gig deck??? Here's to hoping !

Sorry to hear that, you could try posting it in the for sale section. To answer your question about the lockpick I found a spot to hide mine behind the dash a little lower down. Right behind the radio would be a tight fit, it's a small lightweight box though, you can easily zip tie it to something behind the dash.

Thanks Altair, I have it posted in there, not sure what they are worth but it works perfect and I know it will work in a ton of Dodge cars and trucks.

Hopefully I find a My gig thats reasonable or I may go with a aftermarket deck??

I am open to offers if anyone wants it and will ship it to the US.

I'll keep you guys posted.

i was doing some research earlier about going double din, if i remember correctly the mygig swap head units arent a full double din? can an after marked double din fit in our dash opening? (2005-2007) i prefer going after market for sub hookups, which im also hoping to get around to one of these days but having a quad cab poses some problems in that department
