Default Help Please!!!

I have an 06 Dakota and I can not find what the backspacing is on my wheels. I have called the dealership but they never called me back. I have 16 inch rims and just want to know the backspacing and the offset if no trouble. Thanks

The offset of your stock 16" wheels is 25.4mm, that is the offset for both 16" x 7" or 16" x 8" wheel. Therefore your backspacing will depend on which wheel that you have. The steel wheels are 7" wide and the alloy wheels are 8" wide.

The 7" steel wheels have a backspace of 5 inches (actually 5.15 inches), or 131mm.

The 8" alloy wheels have a backspace of 5 1/2 inches (actually 5.66 inches), or 144mm.

Bolts thread does have a sticky, lol. Just no one reads the F.A.Q.s or stickys before posting up a new thread.

We had a thread in the general discussion thread a while back discussing what wheels we were running. It had tire size and make, wheel offset, lifted or lowered truck, rubbing issues, and some more info. Only a few of us posted the information unfortunately. I can't find the thread now, but it would have answered tons of tire & wheel questions.

well in all reality if everyone looked at the old posts for answers this would probably be a boring thread like on one would be talking hardly!
