I made my scoop out of fiberglass, From a mold I made from my brothers hood scoop. Cost me maybe 30 bucks.
They are on ebay for around 60-ish I think.

I havent touched it in ages.
I was Hired by Dr. Pepper/snapple a couple months ago, and havent had much time to focus on anything other than that really. Also have some family stuff going on, and a project outside of the forum that takes up most of my "free" time.
Once I get settled into a place and have my stuff all sorted out, I will start on the Lip kit again. (Just think Hemi-sport lip kit from like the 06 ram rumble bees and sports.)

Alright well I purchased all the parts needed for my Intake and found a K&N 3" filter on ebay for 14.99. So far I'm $35 into the project. Just have to wait for that to come and I'll be almost ready to install. Any idea on what size grommet is needed for the IAT sensor? I'll put up pictures as soon as I've got it installed.
Word of warning for anyone doing a DIY intake; dont use PVC. When PVC heats up, it releases toxic chemicals which is why it is only approved for cold water applications. CPVC or ABS are the only things I would use; and Im not sure if you can get CPVC in 3" applications.
I did for highway driving slightly. City driving no, but thats a given. Made the truck peppier around 2200rpm to the shift point. I ran the numbers(approximation) for a research project for one of my classes, came out to about a 2-2.5 mpg increase at an avg speed of 105km/h(yes I converted)
