So airram has the adapter to mount a 4.6 ford intake to our 4.7's. My question is instead of the eaton m112 blower (witch is what its made for) would you gain any hp buy putting a 99-02 cobra intake on a 4.7? Anyone ever think of this??

About a year ago I asked Nick about this one and never got a reply. Certainly cheaper than buying the Sullivan intake. I would only consider this if I were totally forged and pushing major boost. More boost than the plastic intake can handle anyway. I think they would work but really only one way to find out.

Do you think that would flow better or were you wondering because of durability?

 

If I were to go forged pistons, rods & crank I would search for an aluminum intake that could take around 26psi of boost. I wouldn't run more than 15psi of boost on a stock plastic intake.

 

I would like to see someone try this...

 

Next year I hope to go to a Novi 2000 and forged pistons. If I do, I will give it a shot.
