Default Another option for 'leveling' front end

Just wondering if any of you guys have any experience with these type of spacers. There seems to be so much negative feedback about the over the strut type leveling kit that I'm curious if this would be a better option. It's only an inch of lift but I think that will be enough to fit 75's on my TRX over the stock 70's. And yes, I realize that a result of installing these would be a slight loss of shock travel.

interesting, it would probable make the ride harsh as your eliminating a coil in the spring....

Yeah, don't go for it. It's a cheap way to try and do the same thing, but it wont' work like you think. Look at it... it's not leveling for a lifted truck type of thing, it's for cars that are worn out and need to be brought back up to level, just pushing the spring back into place where it used to be new. And yes, rougher ride for sure.

I think if you want to raise it, just step up and get the leveling kit. I don't know if you want to be the guinea pig with that piece.

That's just it, I HAVE a leveling kit. I've had it like 3 years. I bought it for my 05 and never got it installed because the truck got totaled and I haven't installed it on this truck because A. The manufacturer says he thinks it will make the ride too stiff (TRX4) and B. There are a LOT of people with negative responses, saying it really eff's up the front suspension and ball joints. The truck is still under warranty for 2+ years and/or 35,000+ miles with the extended coverage and, unlike some here, I can't dump a bunch of coin into replacing front end parts if the leveling kit jacks things all up.

imo, the folks who have the kit and have issues are the ones who go off roading a lot. really work the suspension, flex it a lot....if your just a road queen, then they probably dont have much/many issues. could be wrong but there has got to be a reason why some dont have any issues and others have issue after issue until they remove it and the problems go away......

I still have 2 years on the extended warranty, but I just had to level it! Not any issues as of yet, but if something comes up, so be it. I think it's like any vehicle, there are good ones and bad ones in the bunch, just gotta hope you're in with the good ones.
Any yeah, if you abuse the truck, with or without the kit, parts are going to fail.
