Maybe I should have just gotten the Tacoma I was looking at when I bought the Dakota but there was just something about buying a domestic truck instead of a Japanese Truck.

If you want a truck that everybody and their brother drives....I prefer the uniqueness of my Dakota...I see maybe 1 Dakota for every 10 tacos I see.

I think its funny that Toyota was the only car company in the US that reported a loss last quarter. Every other car company gained, but they lost 3%. Hyundai was up over 46% from last November. Toyota can take their "quality" and stuff it. Its good to see that they arent on top anymore; they were always overrated IMO. Not saying Dodge is better, I just think Toyota was WAY overrated .... like Brett Favre.

i agree... drop a 5.7 hemi in the dakota... slap a SC on it and i would have to say it would probably blow that RTR away... just my opinion.

You are more than welcome to drop in.

If you were to swap a 6.1 with a Kenne Bell into a CC Dakota it would be over for the RTR. Imagine this is a G3 Dakota.

When i bought my second dak back in november, i test drove a 2005 taco and it had 85000 miles on it. They were asking 18000 for it. I got my 06 v8 4x4 with 54000 miles on it (at the time) for just about 16,500 (if i remember right). When i test drove the taco with my sister, she told me that if i bought that truck, i was just buying name. I believe that she was 100% right. It wasnt worth it to me.

And after watchin Gran Torino, I thought to my self, would it kill me to buy american?

I have owned 3 brand new Dakotas, one of each generation. I am said to say this will be my last one. Dodge better come out with something amazing when I am ready to trade up, or I will be moving on.
