need answer. 2008 dakota larimime takes 20 minutes to put 20.00 worth gas into it dealer has put new canister,neck and now for third time in new tank and lines plus m2 more canisters . any ideas

what does it do? splash out if you fill too fast?

I've heard turning the nozzle upside down sometimes works.

I have has this same problem. It was actually a broken roll over ball valve. The dealership claimed that it was due to topping it off whel filling up.

Strange. I'd be looking at tank ventilation first.

I would check the ventilation or the check ball like the others have said. Either or are the culprit. Don't ever try to over fill it. One click and its done

I know topping off isnt hard for these trucks. Depending on the gas station I go to, when the nozzle clicks it is 100% full to the point where if I click it one my time to go to the next even cent, it will spill.

Same here, when it clicks, it will not take another drop. I have to jump out of my truck to tell the dude not to top it off every time because in NJ, all stations are full service.
