Honestly, it did not ever do that at all for me, just every now and then would surge when I put it in park and it almost completely stopped doing that before i took it off.

It only does it after its been on the truck for a while. If I reset the pcm, it really isnt too bad. After driving for 500 miles though, it gets progressivly worse. I come to a stop and my idle is at 900 RPM until I blip the throttle to bring it down.

I shouldnt get angry at it. Im gonna go crack a beer and have no more talk of fastmans. Lol. It looks like Eimer is going to be the next one to give this thing a go.

Im going to keep driving with it for a while until I have the ambition to take it off. My idle is alot lower with it on this time. When its not surging, the idle sits at 600 RPM or so. Normally its around 750 RPM.

Just get the regular flashpaq. If you read up on some reviews about people who buy aftermarket items that come with a power train warranty you will see a lot of complaints about how you have to prove that there product caused the failure.

Superchips is a store away item, its only used for data logging, and to load the tunes

I wouldnt buy the Cortex because of the warranty for a few reasons:
1. You would have to prove that the tuner caused the damage (nearly impossible to prove as a ton of other factors could be involved)
2. The warranty is only good on vehicals with 100,000 miles or less for 2 years (its unlikely that anything with less miles would fail. Thousands of users have had 0 problems)
3. If you do custom transmission tuning, the warranty is void
4. Worst case senario, if the superchips tuner fries your PCM the first time you go to tune, they work with you through ever step to get it fixed regardless of the flashpaq or cortex.

You can keep it plugged in for gauge readouts (4 of your choice)

You won't regret the Superchips, I love mine. Personally I would just save yourself the money and go for the 3865 over the Cortex.
