It is the bumper to bumper. I just brought it to the dealer to get fixed a couple days ago, they put it on the lift and took it back down. They said, yup its leakin, and sent me home. They had to order the lines. I was pissed because the first time I had them replaced they ordered them so they were there for my appointment, this time they wanted to "check it out" first. so now I have to make another app. and trip over an hour away to get them put on. Next time I'm going to check for After Market parts or cut the metal to rubber connectors on each end and put my own hose with double clamps as the boys have suggested in this thread. I can only imagine what they would want to replace them when you're payin.

Mine leaked a little. Left a couple of small spots in my driveway. After a few days it stopped. That was two years ago. It must have sealed itself back up somehow. They are in a vulnerable position under the front, and I think road debris can get kicked up and do damage.

Yep, had this problem with my 2005 Dakota also. Found it rediculous to have to replace the entire cooler line and replace the other as every mechanic had recommended. Check this site out: http://www.s-seriesforum.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=82513

I did exactly this and it has held for about two months so far. There IS a flared end at the end of the hard line.

Wow Great Find! Doesn't look too hard. That's what I'm doing the next time they leak! haha

Seeless, just an FYI. You automatically get the lifetime powertrain. Any 2007 Dakota bought after June/July 07 was giving it. I have the paper(pdf) if you want to see it.

Yeah, I know I have the Lifetime PT, but I wasn't sure if the lines were covered or just the mechanics of the transmission in this case. Either way...still have the bumper 2 bumper for a couple more months so its all good. Been replaced, I'm good for another 10 months til I notice them leaking again! lol

Nice pics. Not sure you still have the truck. My Dakota is 2006 v8 still going strong. Putting in new transmission lines. Would you still have pictures of the return line routing to the transmission? PITA to put the new ones in.
