It says in the manual that no plow should be hooked up to this truck...
I don't think the front end can take it.
In addition, because the vehicle literature strickly forbids the use of a plow with this truck, any use of a plow voids your warranty entirely, from what I understand.

I second that. I read that when I bought my truck that it says no plows on these trucks. It says something about how it messes up the airbag sensors. Either making them go off without warning or not go off when they are supposed to.

i picked up a 7.5' western surburbanite recently...its a "homeowner plow" designed for suv's and mid sized trucks
the whole thing is only 270lbs with a poly blade
$700 used one year sat for 3
i need another $800 in wiring and mounts for the dak
im only gonna use it for my place and maybe a few friends
if i was gonna do alot of accounts id be getting a snow beater with a heavy duty setup
i need to get this thing mounted up so i can fab a bullbar/tow hook that uses the plow mounts
the dakota plow mounts go over where the factory tow hooks/bullbar mount
if anyone is interested i have a friend with a snow-way 6'8" lookin for a new home (better quality homeowner plow with a clear poly blade)

I have been plowing for about 15 years. I have a 2008 dakota crew cab, auto, 16" rims, and I use it to plow.
I plow all residential driveways, and this truck has more than enough power to handle the job. The truck is also my daily driver. Yes the warranty can be voided by the dealership because of the plow.
I have a snoway series 26 plow, 7" 6" blade with down pressure. No problems so far. Good luck.
