Thumbs up Bazooka Bass Tube installed

There was a thread about the Bazooka Tubes a while ago, as well as questions about subs. I had the Bazooka Tube, model # BTA8250D, installed a few weeks ago and the sound is AMAZING! There is incredible bass with this tube, it sounds like I put a ton of money into my system, but not really.

If you're looking to add some kick-*** bass, this is a simple solution. The amplifier is inside the tube, and the whole tube simply disconnects with 2 plugs to remove it for the extra room. These tubes come in 6", 8", and 10" tubes, the 8" model that I have fits behind the seat perfectly. I found the best prices on Amazon, $220 for the 8" model.

I remember this thread! I was almost about to do it back then. I may have to buy one this summer .... Looks good in there though. How are you powering it? Running from the battery, fuse box, or a switched wire under the dash?

I had it installed, I didn't have the time to really get into it, and I wanted it in already. But check out page 7 (that A200 connections) on this link, it's only really a few connections.

And there is a Bazooka forum, just sign up and post up any questions in the Amplified Tube Subwoofers Section. 'Heavyduty' will answer all of your questions pretty quickly.

With this tube, you can really feel the bass, it really is awesome!

It's really just:

1 wire to power.
1 wire to ground.
1 wire to remote out from radio.
And then wires to both channels of speakers.

It turns on with the radio.

Thanks for the picture and review Dakotaff! Glad to hear you like it. Those bass tubes dont always get the best reviews, but I think everyone expects too much out of them.

That looks awesome!

I used to have Bazooka Bass tubes, they were the first generation back in the '80s when they came out.

They made a lot of bass. And i had the 2 bass tubes 10 inches each on the back of a '83 Mazda RX7.
I remember i paid about $250.00 for each of the tubes!

Wow, good times !!!!

I'm not sure what kind of room you have behind the seat of a CC, but the 6" tubes need as little room as 6 3/4 inches of room, 8" needs 8 1/2 inches, 10" needs 10 1/2 inches. That is the smallest measurement of the tube.

I had one in the trunk of my convertible back in the 90's, and it sounded great back then. They still rock!

That looks real good! Makes me wonder how hard it would be to take a bass tube like that and fab it up into the center console so you wouldnt have to take up the space behind the drivers seat. Hmmmmm...
