Front and Rear Differential information
I've found that I need to look for either a 10 bolt or 12 bolt rear diff to find the size, but how do i find out gear ratio, and whether it has a locker or not?
Also, how is our 4x4 engaged? Electronic?
One more thing... did any of our trucks come with a locker in the front?
Thanks again guys.

OK! I guess I should have been a little more specific...
I have the 12 bolts, which is the 9.25" with 31 spline, and I know it's a locker.
HOWEVER
No sticker in glove box....
So THEN what?
Do they put lockers in the front?
How do i know the gear ratio?

To find out your gear ratio, you can either submit a request for your build sheet or get the rear end up on jacks, mark the axle, and spin one of the tires one time. Count how many times the dash goes around and thats your gear ratio. You would be looking for 3.55 or 3.92 .... unless someone upgraded.
I do not believe a locker as offered for the front or rear, only a limited slip rear. To find out what you have, I would request the build sheet, this will tell you EVERYTHING about your truck. Here is the link with info on how to do that.
