08 4.7L Dyno Numbers
^ I thought you said yours was a manual? Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly...
I bought mine off a member on another forum for $260 can't beat that
Only issue is it won't be going into my truck for awhile, probably a few months at least...

just need to get the proper tires for that
You don't want to limit yourself due to thinking you won't get traction...I think I'll also have issues with traction, I have an open differential right now and I usually don't have an issue but sometimes it will spin one tire and I'm sure with the stall I won't have a chance of hooking a 5000lb truck with one AT tire... I'm trying to find an RT axle from a junkyard with 4.10 and LSD...

2 words. E. Fan. Less rotating mass = quicker revs = more goodness
gotcha lol, sorry I know very little about 4wd haha....I realize now that's a very stupid question haha.
I'm surprised at how little interest there appears to be for the new 4.7L. It seems like if it is quick in my big truck, it'd fly in the dakota....but nobody really seems interested in it here....there's more interested in the 4.7L on the other ram forum it seems... Is blown287 no longer a participating member here?

I'm fairly certain these trucks are absolutely choked by torque management. My 98 had SO much more down low, but you can feel this pulling back. It's a completely different feel than when my 360 was running outta air above 4k. This surges and lets off as the rpms build, until you break about 4500. Then it pulls all out. I think this explains why we have the unlimited powertrain warranty we have. My 98 was 3 year/35k IIRC, which was smart. The LA 360 was pretty torqey, the 46RE was junk. the ungodly long driveline was junk, and the factory LSD was junk.

Since it gets you in od so quickly, it actually helped city mileage for some folks. Powertraxx is an option for LSD, although I've heard mixed reviews on it. Never heard a complaint on the Auburn LSD, except for the price.
