Default Help!!

So up until about two weeks ago my 05 club cab v8 lairmie* has been running like a champ but when I went to start her up two weeks ago she was making an god awful ticking sound and she does this until it comes to temp but if I shut the truck off and go like for instance in the store or in the house for a min then get back in and start it up it starts all over again even if it's warm in not sure what could be causing this problem but it kinda has me worried what do ya'll think

Maybe its a Hydrolic lifter that lost his pressure...and our 4,7 rockers are known to be noisy and bad quality..there is an upgrade but i dont know what part and price it is...and a set of 8 lifter goes around 200$ but last time i did this job on a 5,2 the tick was still there after remplace lifters

The ticking noise you hear is from a manifold leak. Most of us have had this issue, even myself. The issue is from the crappy manifold bolts breaking and causing a leak. To fix this issue replace the stock bolts with some grade A bolts. Or take it to the dealer and get it repaired under warranty.

Thanks Dakkota and Eimer123 I'll try the bolts for the manifold bolts tomorrow morning and see what happens with that and if it continues I'll see about the lifter but I havent noticed a drop in power or performance .. My dad said his ram did the same thing until it came to temp and they called it the "hemi tick" or something like that but he has since fixed the problem by trading the truck in for the challenger R/T ( lucky *** ... But I'm glad I don't have that car payment lol)

You can do the bolts yourself. If you use the search function, or google I know someone did a right up on this might be in one of the links I posted.
