i was wondering how big i could go at stock height i have 245/70r16 on it stock i want to go 245/75r16 for winter mayb a little bigger for the summer

if they arnt going to fit i do plan on getting the 2' leveling kit in the front mayb add a leaf to the back (the spacer that makes the spring stiffer)

dont want go offroad to much but i do in hunting season and there are a few trails around were i need a little more height

Second post!! Welcome to the forum.

Couple of questions:

Is your Dak 4x4? Mine is 4x4 with the TRX4 package and came factory with 265/70/16 . That is almost a 31 inch tire. With the leveling kit on a 4x4 you could go up to 32 inches and up to 33 inches with a little trimming here and there...

I went with 18 inch wheels and a 31 inch tire and got no rub but like i said mine is 4x4 TRX4... You can see it in my photo album on my profile..

Good luck with your choice!!!

And by the way , post some pics!!

by going from the 70 profile to the 75 profile you are going from a 30 inch tire to a 30.5, that should fit no problem at all. I would imagine that a 31 inch tire would fit with no issues.

You could fit a 245/75 R16, or a 265/70 R16. Some have been able to squeeze in a 265/75 R16 (I used to run that size with no lift) but it is hit or miss if it will rub or not. Plus, it looks too big IMO.

245/75R16 or 265/70R16.

Because 265/70 R16 is a factory size, you can go right to dodge and they will happily reprogram your ECU to correct your speedo/odo with the new size. I think they did it for $20 when I went. It literally took 2 minutes.

yes it is 4/4
pics comin soon been busy at work this week and its dark shortly after i get home

does anyone have measurements from the trail master lift kit that adds preload to the spring looks realy easy to make (i have realy easy acces to a machine shop were they have small peices of steel around that size) just askin because i usualy to get parts shipped up here costs more than the part itself and i havent been able to get to napa to see if they could get it or not and to try a diferent supplyer is an 8 hour drive away (i kinda live in the middle of nowere)

I have an 08 4x4 I am running 245/70/r16 AT grabbers with after market rims. I tried to put 265 but they would have rubbed really bad because of the off set of the after market rims, i think with the leveling kit the 265 would have fit but not 100% sure.

Sorry canuk, I wouldve measured mine but they were installed on Tuesday. I know 3/4" will give you 1.5" of lift. Not sure about the diameter or anything though.

265/70/16 is an awesome size tire, IMO. Its what I have on my truck and they just look so much better than the 245/70/16s, and they wont slow you down too much. They are 1 inch taller and 1 inch wider.

Im sure I did. I went from Firestone Destination A/Ts to BFG A/Ts which is a much heavier tire, along with it being taller/wider. Not sure how much I lost though, I dont keep track. When the needle is low, I fill it up.

According to my calculations, a 70 is 30.5 and a 75 is 31.5 (approximately).
