I know that when I had the Rough country shocks and the 2" blocks in the rear that the only thing stopping my brake line from ripping off was the sway bar's limitations. My brake line had literally NO PLAY left in it once the sway bar hit its limit. Even an inch more of play would have caused damage.

I say keep the rear bar attached.
Thanks for chiming in Monkey.

The rear bar is definetly staying on. I see no benifit for myself to disconnect that one.

Is there anything to worry about up front in terms of overextending the suspension with no sway bar. I dont want to start tearing CV boots or stressing anything.

I do have a 1.5" TM kit installed inside the strut. From my understanding, this prevents the control arms from overextending, unlike if I wouldve installed it on top of the strut.

OK so i bought the rear blocks but they are the 2" cast iron ones, will the 2" block put any more tension on the brake line than the 1.5"????

yea i wouldnt even touch the rear sway bar. but theres no clearance issues for the front sway bar. the upper control arm hits the coil befor the brake line even comes miles from being stretched.

I was talking about the part where I wont tear a CV boot or anything.

I did have a bad clunking with the sway bar on. With the sway bar off, I still have a very slight clunk on the passanger side. I cant figure out what it is, but I dont think mine would be it bottoming out.

You have a 2.5" leveling kit right?

No. Your brake lines will be fine. They will have plenty of slack. Only when you put longer shocks on, and disconnect the rear sway bar is when you will have a brake line slack issue.

The 2" blocks are perfect, enjoy.
