Default Gas Gauge

Started out from work yesterday with 1/4 tank, enuf to get home and back to work. This morning i have 7/8 tank and as I drive it the gauge shows fuller till I'm pinned at full!!! Any one ever see this before??

I wish my tank automatically filled itself ..... maybe its not a bad thing?

It could be a faulty sensor in the gas tank. I know on the older Dakotas its contained in the fuel pump, so fixing it might not be the cheapest.

Yes, It happened to me once. I left work on "E" and was on the phone my whole ride home.
I got up early to leave myself time to refuel, and when I pulled into the gas station I was on "F".
In my case, I was so engrossed in my phone call that I "talked" through stopping and filling up the night before
It puzzled me greatly until I found the receipt on the seat

That's OLD AGE for you..What was your question again?

Hey, this past summer there were weeks I worked over 100hrs...now if only I spent the money earned on mods
