Power Window question
Alright guys maybe someone can shed some light/ give me some advice.
I have a 2008 Dakota Quad Cab and my front passenger window started getting slower at the half way up point a few weeks back, sounded like it was hanging up but ever could find what on. Well today it wouldn't work at all, from either switch, finally got it to work but extremely slow so I put it back up. Is this a motor issue and how easy is it to change?
Not a fan of throwing money away on this when I might be able to do it myself, also I am not sure what other parts it could be but I heard something about these trucks having a cable instead of mechanized arm?
Any help would be amazing.

Well if its an 08, you might possibly still be under warranty for that issue. I have an 08 quad cab also and during the summer i like to have all the windows down, however sometimes when I put them all up at the same time, it would blow the fuse for it so i had to replace it. I know this isn't your problem just throwing some other info out their lol
could be. also could be a genuine dodge design flaw...the passenger side window motor just went out in my wifes 09 journey....the one on my truck takes forever to roll up. You could try lubricating the tracks, but I dont think it would help much.
My 08 front passenger window will not go down sometimes and is slow to go up. It doesn't matter if I use the drivers side panel or passenger panel. I figure it's a bad switch.
I just have to figure out when I want to leave it at the dealers for a day or two while they troubleshoot and replace it.
as a side note. My Wifes Expedition had the same problem and I discovered after replacing the drivers side main control panel via a used junk yard panel, that the local auto parts store could order a new panel for about $50 to $60.
