thats a great start, the most restriction on the stock box comes from the "air horn" that gets the air from the fender. Ureland fabbed up a slick larger hose piece for that part using 4" hose. Try to search for the thread....

Looks good! How did you mount the air temperature sensor into the chrome tubing. I am about to do something similar to my truck, just not sure how to add the sensor.

Thanks lol..... Hey the pipe I got with the kit. The whole cheap kit u can get it for 28 dollars us. Free shipping in the states. the intake pipe in the kit has a hole for the sensor. Than I had to cap off the extra vaccum hole on the pipe as my oem air box has one.

The first thing I had to get after getting the pipe was an adapter to slide into the oem flex hose off the air box. 3inch to 3inch adapter I got from lowes. Both ends come with the strap to tighten it. So I had to take one end off as it was going to slide into the oem flex hose. On the end of the new air intake pipe I slid the extra rubber adapter that comes in the kit. To make a tight seal. In all it was cheap to do this mod.

My only question is why didn't you just go with the whole set-up the way you ordered it from ebay? Was there a reason you kept the stock air box? Wouldn't the new kit be better for air intake? Looking into getting this kit now that you mentioned on here!!

The reason why is because if you look into what a cold air intake hooks up. It comes with a fire wall itself and gets the air from the existing whole your air box hooks up. well where I am there is always rain, snow or whatever and don't want to worry about the filter getting wet. So I looked into it to see what I could do to remove the restriction of air and keep the factory air box. It's a cleaner look. And plus I didn't really want to spend over 300.00 on a cold air intake kit. Thats where the creativity part kicked in lol.... If your going to mod your truck why not do it with a bit of your own creativity to truly appreciate it even more lol.....
