Hey what did you use to make the piece from the airbox to the fender. Mine is a temporary situation.

Here's what it looks like in plastic....

I measured my ouside air temp vs my intake air temp with the SC. I'm withing 15-20 degrees as long as I'm about 35mph and even more when under full load. I'll be doin a few other tricks to see if I can get the temps even closer....

I reused the stock one, I bought a plastic elbow with a flange on it, cut it in half, then used a plastic mud flap to adjust the fender opening:

The other half of the elbow is in the fender, as a "scoop".

I know this is an old thread but thanks for the write up! I was thinking of doing this to my Ram. I didnt want to spend hundreds for an intake. I have a cheap cold air intake set that I may use parts from to do this usuing my OEM air box. Basically exactly what you did here I wanted to do. IMO, using the box with the mods is better because that air being forced in has nowhere to go except through the system, where as having the filter open and exposed may not be as effective. Plus the temps will be cooler. I would like cut a hole in my airbox, open it up large and reroute a tube behind my grille or something of that sort. Im glad I found this thread.... thanks again everyone!
