stay away from flowmaster unless you are just looking for obscene sound...you will not be able to hear yourself inside the cab.,...imo

I have a Magnaflow single in single out muffler, a turn down right after it and no resonators. I love how it sounds, It has a nice deep sound and is not too loud at cruising speeds.

I have a Magnaflow single in/out installed and love the sound of it. The Muffler is part #12256, and I put a nice tip on it, Magnaflow part # 35204. The tip has Magnaflow engraved at the end.

I forgot what I paid or where I got peices. I also removed both resonators, your Dakota may have one or two resonators.

Here are the vids, from my camera.

if you really dont want to get rid of the Y then straight pipe and leave juste the last resonator....my friend did it on his ram for 100$total with labour...sounds good but no HP gain

thanks everyone! i think i will go with dakotaff's setup. im really diggin that magnaflow roar and think that the flowmasters are too well known/a bit overrated. plus the super 40 may attract women but when you got them riding shotgun and you cant hear them b*tching thats when you get in trouble (: that chrome tip looks nice but do you kno if magnaflow makes any black tips? i kno i could just paint it as well..ps gotta love amazon.com the best prices on anything out there even car parts now
