hey guys, iv been planning on swapping out my muffler for awhile and since i will be off from school next week and it is finally warming up here in new england i think i may do the project next week. My original plan was to get a flowmaster super 40 for around $80 and maybe a nice black tip but thats it nothing too complex. however i know all of you have done different exhaust systems on your dak so id like some opinions on the best sounding muffler out there. sounds clips/videos welcome

Magnaflow single in dual out
I hated the sound when I first installed it, but after a month the sound has changed! Its nice and throbby now!

 

i suggest you go with any complete kit single in dual out....and swap muffler for a dual in / dual out and cut off the Y and built a true dual exhaust..like mine cost 700$ total part + labour

I would recommend swapping it out for the 40 series and removing and resonators (if you have them). My friend did a muffler swap on his 4.7 Ram with the 40 series and I love it.
