Default A Sighn of what I'm in for?

Or just bad luck? Im to the point where Im ready to dump my Dakota.

I bought a 05 4.7 Club Cab from the dealer in November of 09 with 28k for a dream. Well the dream has turning into a nightmare, it now has 40k. In those 12,000 miles of driving I have had to replace

-2 front bearings
-passanger side window motor
-EGR valve

And now my front passanger side brakes are locking up and making the rim smoke. These are not the problems of a normal truck with 40,000 miles. I dont know what the repair history looks like on the typical dakota, but I think I'm going to have to eat it on this one and try and sell it.

What kind of luck have you guys had, I cant be the only one.

I bought my 2005 Dakota new in October of 2004.. I am at 60,000 now. Before the 3yr, 36,000 was up the dealership replaced the front wheel bearings twice, the rear wheel bearings once, sway bar bushing and links, lower ball joints twice, outer tie rods once.

For the power 7yr 70,000 warranty, they have replaced the rear pinion seal.

After the 3yr 36,000 warranty, at about 40,000 I have replaced the egr valve (bad sensor, Outer tie rods with greasable joints, rear sway bar links, steering intermediate shaft.

Truck is going back to the dealership for leaking manifolds, and I think my CV joints are shot up front, but might be U-joints, or wheel bearings.

Ohh and my truck is a pavement queen, not majorly abused, never been in the mud. Yes it is sad that they cannot make a truck that will last.

x2, luckily it looks like the previous owner took care of the major front end issues and rear bakes for me...except for the struts.. : )

I didn't have to replace anything until I hit the 100k mark. Then my alternator went, battery went, struts stared going, blew my passenger side head gasket and replaced my water pump.

I've replaced a whole lot of stuff but that was for fun not because it broke

For my truck, I like to look at all of the things that havent gone wrong instead of all the things that have. It makes my wallet and I feel better at the end of the day.

The tank doesnt always have to be half empty

my wheel bearing just started huming at 70k miles... Ive replaced every front end part you can imagine (ball joints upper lower, tie rod ends, sway bar links, 2 cv shafts, front diff---that was because it cracked for some reason lol) And note that i also am rough on my susspension.

I would really like to know what plant everyone's truck came from. Mine was built in Mexico. Anyone else know where they built your truck? I am sure its on the inside of the door sticker.

My truck must be a built on the case of the Monday's.
