Talking Started the modding...

So I did the DIY IAT sensor mod and tranny pressure line mod both for less than $10. I also swapped out the plugs for autolite 3923 and did the mopar combustion cleaner. All I can say is WOW what a difference. It was in the mid 50's this morning and my truck had quite a noticeable extra pep to it. I really like the firmness that the tranny has now. When I do the tranny service I intend to install the transgo shift kit to firm things up a bit more. Next on the list is a DIY CAI using the stock airbox. Lot of good ideas floating around here!

DIY IAT mod is a resister that goes inline with the wire going to the IAT and it makes your truck think that the air coming in is cooler than it is. do a quik search for power wire.. youll find a lot

It's like the powerwire. He uses a resistor on one of the AIT wires. Same thing for the tranny, it's like the sonnax pressure booster.

Not too sure about the power wire for the IAT, I didnt notice much difference with it and some people get really testy around the whole power wire subject...lol. The tranny power wire(sonnax), though was a definite improvement. You can buy it (@$40) or you can make it for @$5. There is a write up about it in the Ram section somewhere.

Yeah I did my research on here for the IAT and tranny mod. Was comfortable enough making it myself rather then spending $90 for both. I bought the combustion cleaner from my local dealer for $6. I am looking hard at doing the efan conversion. Blown I have the exact spal controller you are using and might pm you for wiring specifics. I might go hunting for a efan at the local boneyard in the next few weeks.
