Desert Rat, I'm under the assumption this was a joke and that we need to talk.

I'm not mad and I'm not going to call you names. I am definitely going to criticize your joke. I believe this is in the realm of what some might call a "Gotcha" joke. Gotcha jokes can be funny, often to the Butt(s) of the joke, even. This one fell flat. They work best when you get people to believe in something outlandish and who, after the joke is revealed, feel like they should have known better out of common sense. Think "War of the Worlds" or closer to this would be the "Instant Color TV" April fools prank.

Your effort was there, and you did have people going for a while, but you had people believing something fairly plausible (I suppose plausible is up for debate at this point...). It was too easy and few will appreciate your powers of comedic deception, and for good reason. Yours was like you telling a friend that your unfortunate-looking sister is pregnant, when in fact she is not, never speaking of it again then having your friend later piece together that your sis is actually a sterile hermaphrodite. Ok, maybe it's just barely like that, the point is that you get a D+ in comedy for the month and have earned the title "Simpleton".

I apologize in advance if this is somehow not a joke. And your sis is a very handsome girl.

Tdister, I really appreciate you "no need to be name callin'" attitude. It's nice to have a level headed, proactive person post their feelings. As much as I agree with this, I have to say that I feel like doin' some name callin'.

What upsets me the most is the stuff that we are catching as falsified reporting....or lies. If I have this all wrong, please feel free to clarify, DesertRat...

You say that you "actually" have the lift...yet we have no evidence. The company "Jack My Ride" doesn't even have a website. Seriously guy...wif?

sorry desert rat nice work nice truck!!!

if rough country ever see thoses pictures, if its a 2006-2008 ram 1500 kit is it legal to modify a existing kit and sell it???

well if its the case the kit it self cost 1000$

disk brake 186$ each for a good quality

wheel hub 200$ each

custom fabrication R&D modification a little under 2000$ is a good deel.

this gut should remoove rough country sticker and grind and paint the cross member so we dont see ita a modified kit installed why this guy would powedercoat a kit and cut it after????guys it you want this kit be sure rough country never see this...remember that we send them the link of this post to show the interest for a kit.

My apologies to everyone, Our suspicions were completely out of context.

However, you do have to admit, there were some pretty odd things about this whole deal.

Odd registrations, odd listings, and odd comments by the person that was getting the lift installed.

Again, I truly apologize, and hope that you all can forgive me.

On the lighter side of things, from one of my favorite tv commercials "THEY DO EXIST!!!" >Faint<

Now for the only thing that I see that looks odd,

last question would be... will it fit 35's without cutting, or a 3" body lift?

The crossmember appears to only have one bolt holding it in on either side. Is it keeping from moving based on compression? I would be afraid that it would want to flex or shift under a large pothole.

Could easily be stiffened, by some fairly easy to make brakets tho.

I'm not a profficient welder but it looks like there is a butt weld joining the two pieces together. Is there some sort of other reinforcement on the weld on the inside?

Seriously? This is what they came up with? Like.......realy?

I'm glad something got posted up. However, the fit and finish is absolutely horrible. This is a severe hack job...actually. Its worse than a hack job.

Nice welds....its looks like ya'll slammed 17 red bulls, cranked the feed rate on your MIG to 10,000 fps, and went to town all jacked up on Mountain Dew.

Flex section exhaust, FTW!! Really? $50 at a muffler shop would be more than enough to fab a 3' section of exhaust. Or, just do it yourself.

Where's the sway bar? Lol. (shaking my head). I suppose that's not as big of a deal, as most of us that want 6" of lift will actually wheel the truck. I'm interested in seeing what the steering rack mounts look like, and such.

Is this really supposed to be productionized? I'm so very disappointed.

On the bright side of life, its nice to actually see something...instead of a rumor. It's more than we had...and at least better than the "airbagit" kit.
