OHHHH you have access to this truck?!? if you do take the mesurements 06dak287 wants and give them to him.

ok i will contact rough country to see if its possible to have part separately

the answer is no... Buy the 2006-2008 ram kit and make it fit like this guy!

he answer on the blog..thats bull****. we need the kicker brace and the brace like fabtech between the cross members and the kicker brace is from 2nd crossmember to center of truck

donkeypunch: you have a 4x? would you mind posting some pics of the crossmember and oilpan area. i want to make sure the diff isnt going to get in the way. im almost positive it will. ill be making a new one because this one is a tad long and comes real close to the cast part of the lower control arm. so the next one ill make will be for both 2 and 4 wheel drive and have provisions for the oil problem. also. did you wanna discuss the lift privately?

guys, the only thing the rough country kit is good for is the ram spindle. since the crossmember has to be cut anyway. (which compromises the integrity) why not just start brainstorming ways to make our spindle taller or make a new boxed spindle (yes of course...camburg style lol. howd you guess) and than whipping up some crossmember and bent plates for the diff drop? than you can either go the spacer route and keep your stock strut. or go the better route and buy a coilover from companies like fox, king, etc

according to suspension engineering. the ratio HAS to be 1:1. drop the crossmember 4" you HAVE to drop everything else 4"

think of it like this. your not changing anything. your just grabbing the front end as a whole. and bringing the entire thing downwards 4 or 6" whatever you want. your not changing any angles or travel. so in order to keep the factory specs. you have to butterfly effect it (whats done here, has to change there)

get it? so the only thing left on our agenda is figuring out the spindle....

Ok, I will get you pictures in a bit. I have a 4x4. As far as the lift goes, we should get some stuff together. PM me your contact info, and maybe we can come up with a plan of attack for the lift and the cross member.

So, it looks like Jack My Ride has addressed several questions asked on our thread since the initial photos were posted. According to the blog, this is just test fitment component stuff. The "blogger" addressed pretty much everything, including the myth of ripping off Rough Country's spindles. What ever truth is behind it....we don't know. But, he says that his company is contracted to use "their" steering knuckles.

So, my take on it is...this could still be a nice kit for production, but we won't know until we see the final product. But...for $2,000 we had better see quality, brake lines, powder coated components, and good "fit and finish". Even then, $2,000 is a lot to ask for a lift like this. I'm thinking (assuming the product is good enough) $1,500 should be about right.

2000 sounds about what i would ask for a full on 4x4 long travel system with shock hoops and limit straps. the whole 9 yards. and if theyre contracted to use RC spindles than that just told us they used a ram kit. any ideas on making a dakota spindle taller?

im actually starting to think a 4x4 lift for you guys is something i would enjoy doing. since my long travel is waiting for parts i can now start on something else. aside from the spindles. everything that an RC kit comes with can be made. the only reason yall would NEED to hit up an RC kit would b the spindle (not trying to kill business for JMR, just trying to save yall some cash)

does one of you 4x4 guys have detailed pics of the front diff bracketry?
