Yeah, the more That I look at it the more that it looks alike. You notice that he was careful not to show too much of the front cross member, cause that would give away the logo that rough country puts on their kits...Then he would really be out...wonder what his response will be on the blog.

Be interesting to see if rough country catches wind of this given the number of people that have emailed them about our forum...

This might just be the thing that gets a large company on making a lift...

those coil springs are going to crack one day from what the baja guys call spring slap.

i mean seriously guys. why do you keep on waiting for companies to do what this is?

if its just a matter of dropping the lower a arm mount 4 inches. providing a 4 inch "on top" coil spacer, and dropping the diff 4 inches. than snagging a ram spindle.

it is not hard at all to make. if you could somehow furnish your own spindle. i would be willing to make the crossmembers and everything else.

save you guys a BUNCH of money.

Well it will be interesting to see where this goes, rough country gives a lifetime warranty on everything including the shocks, so if they see this and decide that this would be a good thing to go for, we might get an awesome kit at a even better price.

Not to mention that they may put a decent strut on there, one with more than 4" of travel once the truck is on the ground.

Tak on the claim that they were going to have a 6" and 4" kit, and that rough country has the same thing, and BOOM more evidence that this is a hack job on the rough country kit.

On top of that, if it was not why in H E double hockey sticks would you have a break in the center of such a high stress component, welding on it like that may have put it together, but I would think it would weaken the metal.

Like I said, seems suspicious that he would take such care in hiding the front cross member. Looks like he knows that we would be annoyed if we had more solid evidence that he was hacking a current kit, and charging a grand to weld it back together.

like i said the price is not so bad

999$ the kit

2 rotors + 2 wheels hub around 800$canadian

R&D + welding 200$

2000$

just not confident of strengh of a hacked cross member

front differential from a ram and a dakota my have some difference because he had to build them...

drop diff from 2nd gen should fit??? rancho, tuff country, sully told me this couple of month ago

Well here is my hope tho,

If rough country make a kit like this guy is, and includes hubs, we will have live time warranty on wheel bearings...A good thing with 35" tires...

lol the reason that this kit comes with disk and hub is not for added weight like he said..but for fittement issues.

probabely our wheel hub and rotors dont fit ram lifted knuckles.

thats why i ask hendrixx to ask where to get remplacement hub and disks!!!

I am almost positive that it is a Rough Country kit. It looks identical to the kit my step-father has on his 06 Ram. I mean identical....

06Dak287. I wouldn't mind talking with you further on the creation of this stuff. Also, I would like one of your cross members. Shoot me a PM when you get the chance.
