Hey guys.

Im, sick of these piece of crap stamped x-member that gets oil everywhere and is pretty much good for nothing. Im building a tube crossmember with heims ends to tighten it up. and it will contain tabs to add (now or later) an aluminum skid plate that runs to the bigger x-member in front of it. and from there, another aluminum skid plate that runs up to a cross tube that bolts to the front 2 body mount hardware.

would any of you be interested...if not ill just make mine with no jigs. im thinking the crossmember only will be anywhere from 60-80 and the skid plate add ons come in front only, back only, or all. havent decided a price for that yet.

i just use a small piece of V folded cardboard and rest it on the cross member, which usually does the trick, but your new cross member sounds awsome!

 

i dont promise anything since im saving my $$$ for a true lift..but after it could be a thing i would considere.

 

ive got a hunch that your "lift" piggy bank will remain full for a while lol

decided to ditch the heims idea due to return on investment. so im going with the boxed "camburg" style crossmember. all used with 1/8" plate and 1.5" tubing
