cold weather+lazy OD=bad fuel economy???

Default cold weather+lazy OD=bad fuel economy???

is it normal that i start my truck in the morning (im in the middle of a cold winter by the way), And my truck does not engage OD on highway before my temp goes higher than 1/4????? My fuel consommation went down diring very cold weather and i think i find why.

it wont engage untill the fluid is warmed up. atleast in my case.

Thats normal, dodges have done that for quite a while.

My 95 ram does it. Thunder is right, it waits for temps to rise.

FUEL ECONOMY IS REALLY BAD!!!!

almost 60miles less on a full tank

its called cold weather, using 4x4, winter gas. if your still getting bad mpg in the spring they start to diagnose it.

im using 33x11,5,16 tires in summer and my MPH/GAL is alot better...i would never expect that it could drop soo bad i tried 87-89-91-94 ocatane in winter and no difference

summmer time 94octane makes a HUGE difference 30miles more a tank

i got 7mpg once last year while using 4x4 alot with hard throttle.

my mileage sucks this winter....plus friggin gas is over $3 a gallon now....i'm going ot have to park the damn truck and start driving a corrola....aaaahhhhh!!!!!!!
