Just Blacked out the third brake light and taillights. Used auto grade clear and tinted with black to be a little transparent. Next shaving the antenna. Also has anyone done tails body color im debating on doing that should have just done it in the first place.

Ive been debating on whether or not to do body color tails or not. There arent too many how toos on it, and not even that many pictures. Airram sold Ram taillights that were body color for a while; Ive been meaning to contact him and ask if it was a body shop that he went through. Basically it is just a coat or two of 50% color and 50% clear with a few coats of clear on top. Everyone I ask around here looks at me like Im crazy.

Altair is running body color covers on his Dak.

 

Since i have the red the way i do you wouldnt even have to mix the color with the clear you could just color em out and clear over them i just dont know if it would look goofy or not.

That has never stopped me if a cop wanted too he could write me a book of tickets but as long as the truck looks good i dont care. haha

If you do perfect a meathod of body color tinting though, ill send a set of tails your way to be sprayed red
