Default Damn DIFF!!!

so trying to mount my front diff up and the mounts wont line up properly? anyone have any tips!!?!? the lower ones closest to the driveshaft are too far back, and the ones on the upper driver side cant get em to thread, even tho they look lined up. this really has my stumped. The only ones that went in fine were the ones on the passenger side.

anyone have a FSM for an 05!?!?

Try two jacks. Place one directly underneath the differential and the other under the front of the differential where the drive shaft enter. Slowly alternate between them until it lines up.

I ran into this same problem when I did my drop shackles. Good luck man.

Can you tell if everything is aligned under there? If there was enough torque to grenade the diff, Im guessing theres a chance that it torqued the mounting points. I cant tell from the pics how it is mounted though.

My bad man, I saw Diff thought you were talking about your rear diff. I didn't realize you were referring to the transfer case.

Not transfer case, front differential.

As stated above. The torque that gernaded your diff probably twisted your mounts. As far as advice, DON'T heat them up and try to move them. The heat will change the temper of the steel and probably make them break under load.
