2006 Check Engine Light Code?

What was the problem? I have an hr code as well.

From the '06 service manual: 
While in the odometer mode with the ignition switch in the ON position and the engine not running, depressing the odometer/trip odometer switch for about six seconds will display the engine hours information.

exactly, that is the engine hours, not any trouble code.
to get trouble codes, you have to turn the key to on and off 3 times in quick succession. on the third time keep it on the "on" position and it will display any trouble codes. so bring paper and write down any codes. they don't stay on the screen long.
make sure not to turn it to "run" where it will start the truck as it will not show the errors with that. if you fail. remove the key completely from the ignition before trying again.
