The most time consuming part is just getting to the cams.

As Winston said, the only thing I torque to spec is the timing sprocket bolts. There are inch pound specs for the cam bearing cap bolts but I break them every time I try to torque them to spec. I take them hand tight on a short ratchet.
Shame omaha nebraska is not a little closer to me, I think you would be a regular hoot to have help out with a hemi install.

In my younger days I worked in a garage and have rebuilt engines and trannys but now I think I would rather have someone else do it. That way if something goes wrong I can blame them...lol

That would be my pleasure man. A build like that is something I would love to be part of.

damyankee84, I hear you on that man. I love building performance machines but the day it becomes a chore I will put the wrenches down, lol.

Nope, they aren't designed to stretch. If they were torque to yield, I would replace them every time I did a cam swap. Just like I do head bolts, I have never reused a head bolt. If I ever spring for ARPs that will be a different story, lol.

If you break one or want to replace them they are metric flange hex bolt M6-1.0x40MM class 10.9. I bought Imperial 15607 as direct replacements.
