Default did the 3rd gen come with a 5 speed ?

i got really interested in a 2nd gen with the 5 speed with the 5.2 . but is a 2wd and a sc/sb. still may buy it because its selling for 4300 maybe will be a good DD for work.

but im wondering about having a 3rd gen with the 4.7 with a 5 speed. looked on craigslist and the internet and seems really rare to find one. anyone here have one ? are they pretty quick compaird to the 5.2 or the 4.7 with an automatic.

is the new 2010/11 do they come with a 5 or 6 speed ?

Only a 6 speed manual for the 3rd gen and they are rare, only offered in 06 I believe. Now the auto's are all 5 speed.

Yeah, I beleive you could find the 6 speed in the 05 and 06 models.

My 4.7l walked a 5.2l. It wasnt a huge difference, but I had no problem pulling away from him. Atleast he said there was a 5.2l under his hood before the light turned green. Lol

For sure, until 2006 I believe, you could get the 4.7 with a manual 6 spd. I just got back from a drive in mine. They are rare though.

I had an 05 QC with a 4.7 and 6 speed. As far as I know, the 2010-11 models don't offer any manual, even with the V6.

I have one as well and I can tell you they will easily beat an early 2000s mustang GT but thats not hard to do. It took me 4 months of looking to find the truck though. A guy that I talk to at the dodge dealer ship here said that he had been working there for a little over two years and he had only see a truck like mine once before.

Hold out for one if you really want it - you won't be disappointed. I have a wheezy V6 and 3.21 gears, and I still enjoy it. It has MUCH more positive feel than the rubber-band NV4500.
