are you going true duals or just replacing the resonators and muffler with a single in/dual out? You wanting the tips straight out the back or angled down behind the rear tires? You could come out in front of the rear tires and eliminate the headache of going over the axle. I have single in/dual out coming straight out the back. Had no issues with clearance around the spare, but I got a system that said it would clear the spare. I had to make my own hangers and brackets for the most part becauase mine was more of a "universal fit" system. Most of the name brand should use the factory hangers. I will take some pics of mine later.

You could do that i guess. i dont know how much of a performance difference it makes doing it that way verses having a true single in/dual out muffler. Someone would still have to fab up the pipes. Do you have a muffler shop around? I installed mine myself but found out later that I could have had it done at a shop for @$50 more, which I would have done if I had known it was that cheap just to save me the headache. Unless you have to have a brand name (borla, gibson, etc) cat back system, you can save yourself a lot of money using knock off mufflers and having a local shop make the pipes for you. This is definiitely one of those "you get what you pay for" mods, but I have had no problems with my $200 ebay cat back system. My 2 cents.

I just have a single flow pro catback on my 4.7L and I love the sound. The total for the muffled swap was $170 and $20 of that was them cutting out the resenator and welding in a piece of pipe. I say buy something like jkeaton. Just saying
