The latest from Black Cat Custom for gauge faces:

Hi Kent,Yes, the cluster is a little different from the previous versions so the gauge face has taken a little longer than expected and should be available any day now. I would be happy to email you when we have it available.

Lol i got the same email last week,
It will be interesting to see how they do the back lighting if there going to use EL again or change it to LED.

I would rather have them take their time and produce a quality product then rush through it and have there be a lot of bugs and kinks still.. imo

Good luck on getting those guages. After seeing his product on SPEED I emailed him about some custom guages with the mopar emblem in the middle about 2-3 years ago. He said no problem and it would be about 2/3 weeks no longer. Well after seeing that he charged my credit card BEFORE he sent the guages I called him after about a month and asked where we were at. He stated that he had been really busy and he was working on them and it should be only another week. So I let another 2 weeks go by and never say or heard anything, so I called again and got the same story. I then waited another 1-2 weeks and that was my finaly straw, I wrote him a nasty e-mail stating that I'm sure SPEED didnt end up with that kind of service and said I was a paying customer just like everyone else and I waited way beyond what he originally told me. He ended up giving them to me for free but stated he wasnt going to guarentee that they would work. Oh yeah this was for my 00 dakota. I know I'm just one person but it sounds like you've been waiting for a while and are being told the same thing. Good Luck

That could very well be. A few of us have written and got the same story, then we write again and get the same story.

Hi, although we are not a vendor here, we feel we need to respond to the comment posted as this is not the first time that this incident has been brought up. We acknowledged that there were problems with completing that order and that is why the customer got a full refund. That was a long time ago and we are still here and have done many many Dakota gauge faces since then with lots of very satisfied customers, so we must be doing something right.

The 05 & Up Dakota cluster is a bit odd and we have been trying a few different approaches which has taken longer than expected. The development of a new gauge face design/model year takes time and we are doing our best to prepare a gauge face that will appeal to a lot of owners.
