Default offroad graded foglights?

Is there such thing? My foglights cracked after some off-road use so I ended up getting new OEM ones. Now the lenses(both) cracked again after I just installed them! Is there a mesh in the market design to cover them up?

mine were cracked and I got replacements from rock auto. they are chinese made and, unfortunately must be better quality than oem because I have not had an issue with them and I run 80 watt fog light bulbs....maybe you could make your own mesh ones using some metal gutter guard? Are you sure they are cracking from debris and not a hotter than stock bulb?

rigid industries provides all our baja lighting. waterproof, shockproof, and un crackable lense. leds come in different colors depending on what you need. yellow is the standard fog color.

I don't think the bulbs are aftermarket they are the same ones I got at the dealer but I could check.

Building a costume mesh sounds very tempting but I will take a look at the rigid industry lenses that 06dak287 recommended and just go with that if the price its not too steep. Remember that either way I'm going to need to replace my existing cracked lenses.

Which is the brightest fog bulbs you guys have gotten away with in your trucks without melting anything? Jkeaton I read u are sporting 80 watts

I had 100 watts for awhile with no problems, but read that others were melting the housings, so I backed it down to 80 watts. Have had them in for several months and I run them all the time in the dark with no issues. I check them regularly. I also use heat sink compound on the mating surfaces, dont know if that is helping or not. (I'm also running 80/100 watt bulbs in the headlights)

do you use special high wattage bulbs? ive used cheap high wattage and they burn out fast

do your connectors show any sign of overheating?

Rigid Indust. is LED and has some crazy custom reflective cones they use so their smallest light (which is the 2x2 double stack) lights up the street like a police helicopter...imagine 2 of them. Heres the light bars and heres the 2x2 duallys

Amber series lighting

I'm running HID's in the fogs and I've never had an issue with the heat, but cracked lenses from debris suck... HID bulbs are 35 watts, stock are 55. You can pick up a decent kit off the internet for about 60.00.

Just make sure to aim them low, otherwise you'll have people in oncoming traffic pulling over cause they can't see.
